Street Kid Picnics

Over the past months Street to Feat- a Sister organization to Sunrise of Life has hosted a number of Street Kid Picnics in the city of Arusha. Street Kid Picnics is an effective way of doing street outreach to the many street children of Arusha. Be inspired by the following pictures. 

Mark Tannous, the Founder of Street to Feat wrote the following about the picnics: 

At first we were experiencing a few big challenges right from the morning i.e. experiencing a lot of trouble locating the kids on the streets the morning of, but then with a bit of hope everything pulled through last minute. As I recall we had about 9 kids show up, which is a lot less than normal, but we never focus on the numbers anyways. In the end we opened the picnic up to the community and it turned into a “Community” picnic.

The picnic wouldn’t been complete without the presence of both of you, and of course without your help and the help of the other volunteers. 

Samson is still continuing the picnics at his call and hopefully keeps it going for another year. As we both share our passion of helping underprivileged youth in Arusha, I really look forward to working together more in the future.
