Habari za Leo (How is your day?)

Hello Everyone,

Over the past weeks many things have been happening at Sunrise of Life. We will give you some snap-shots in this post.

Firstly we would like to offer our sincere condolences towards the family of Susan Wells from Ontario. Susan traveled to Tanzania approximately 2 weeks ago to assist the street children of Arusha. On her way from the Kilimanjaro Airport she was brutally murdered by one of the children she was assisting. Susan's goal in life was to open a drop-in centre in Arusha to help street children, and she had traveled to Tanzania on previous occasions. Everyone at Sunrise of Life is still shocked by what happened, and hope you will remember the family in your prayers. You an learn more at:

Unfortunately we never had the opportunity to meet Susan, but her work will carry on.

Renovations have been coming along nicely on the kitchen. Unfortunately the TZ internet has not allowed any pictures to be sent as of yet. When the renovations on the kitchen are finished we will begin with expanding the chicken project.

The cow project has brought in funds for the first time last month. A total of 77,000 ($51.00) Tanzanian Shillings was brought in from the sales of the milk. This covers the food and medicine costs of taking care of the cows, as well as part of the Gardeners Salary. Unfortunately during the past couple of weeks the milk the cow has been producing has been bad, so it could not be sold. Hopefully this will change in the near future.

We are working very hard to get school fees together for the coming year for the children, if you wish to donate towards school fees please visit www.sunriseoflife.com/donate and let us know after your donation has been made that you wish it to go towards school fees. If you would like more information on the amounts of fees, ages of the children etc. Please send us an email at sunriseoflife.sol@gmail.com.

Finally we also want to give the children a Christmas celebration this year that they will remember. The celebration will include Christmas, Graduation, and other special occasions the children remembered during the past year. If you wish to support this celebration please donate to www.sunriseoflife.com/donate.

Thank-you to everyone for your amazing support so far this year, you have made amazing things happen for the children.

Kindest Regards

-The Sol Team
