Mambo!?
Hello All,
We hope you are well. A little update from Sunrise of Life. Over the past weeks things have been going well. Kitchen renovations are underway. Included in the renovations are a new ceiling, fixing of the walls, an outside concrete wall basin, plumbing to the kitchen, and a renovated store room!!
Plans are also well underway for the volunteer trip of 2013. So far approximately 11 volunteers have dedicated to go, which everyone at Sunrise of Life is very thankful for. This is the maximum number of volunteers that the centre can handle this time around. But if you are still interested in making a difference in the lives of the children we have many other things that can be done right here in Canada. Email us for more information, we look forward to hearing from you.
Then we have finally had a chance to post the pictures from Tom's visit to Tanzania in August. Visit //www.sunriseoflife.com/media.php to and scroll past the videos to view the pictures! For those of you who donated clothes, Tom was able to take many of them along- you will see some very happy kids wearing them!! Many of the clothes that you donated in August are in storage in Canada as we were not able to fit them all on Tom's trip. The volunteers of 2013 will take these clothes along with them.
Thank-you to everyone for your support, because of you these children had a very good year so far, and their school attendance is at the highest it has been in many years. The children now have a healthier diet, are more active, and are much happier- Thank-you again.
God Bless!!
