Neema is Going to England
Hello Everyone-
For those of you who have been following us for a while you will probably remember that in May Neema was to go to the UK. Unfortunately at that time her visa had not yet been processed. A few weeks later the visa came through- approved.
Neema decided to wait till September till after all the visitors and volunteers had come and gone at the centre. So tomorrow Neema will be going to England. This trip is being made possible by Rotary, who is sponsoring her to go to England for 3 weeks. There will be many changes for Neema during this visit, as she has never before been out of Tanzania. Neema will be in the UK for 3 weeks. During her time away Kanie, Naomi and Godlisten and many others who hold Sunrise of Life close to their hearts, will be making sure things continue to run smoothly at the centre.
Volunteer's Martin and Mareike together with Tom have been teaching Neema how to eat the UK way. This has been a learning experience for all of them, as eating in the UK is different than Canada and Germany.
Martin is the nephew of the original founder, Peter, of the Centre which was founded in 1994. Peter passed away in 1998. This past January after some internet searching Martin came across Sunrise of Life and sent an email. That first email soon turned into a month long visit to the centre.
Regards!!
