Life at the Centre

Hello Everyone,

I have been at the centre now for several days, and things are going very good. There are several projects on the go, and others are doing very well. The garden has grown substantially since January and the children are getting daily vegetables from the Garden. The cow-shed is almost complete and we now have two cows and 1 calf. The cow is producing about 8 liters of milk per day. Soon the other cow will calve and so we will be able to start selling the milk.

Then the centre has received funds via Rotary from New Zealand to build new toilets for the children. These toilets will be a large step up from the current pit toilets the children use. The new toilets will be flushing, and much more sanitary. Thank-you so much Rotary of  New-Zealand!!!

It has been a very nice time so far in TZ. Things are well at the centre. Most of the children are on a 1 month break from school.

Finally, tomorrow we will have a board meeting at the centre.

Should the Internet pick up soon I will attempt to post again!! Greetings from all the children and staff at Sunrise of Life!!!

-Tom
