Hello All,
We hope you are all well. Over the past weeks we have been very busy trying to get funds together for April. Thank-you to some dedicated supporters we were able to fill the budget for March, meaning that the children will have food, love, shelter, and education for another month.
Things have been going very well at Sol Centre in Tanzania. We have been communicating on a daily basis with Neema, the Centre Manager. The bank account in Tanzania is on the verge of being ready. On the bank account are three signers, meaning that anytime money is taken out it must be approved by two of the three signers. Wendy, from America and Rebecca from England are running an organization near to Sol Centre. These two amazing ladies are also on the Sunrise of Life board in Tanzania and are the two signers on the account, together with Neema. We do everything in our power to make sure the funds are used in the right way, and so far we have succeeded.
Mamma Faye has said she will donate a Cow for Milk to the centre if we could raise the funds to build a Cow Shed. The foundation from the shed is already in place as the project had been started over 5 years ago, and there was once a cow there. To rebuild the shed will cost about $400.00. If you would like to support this project then please contact us!!
Keep in mind though that we are struggling to meet the budget requirements for April. We are a very long way off from our goal of $2000.00 and are needing your help to meet this goal. We have been applying for grants, but even if we did get grants they still take 3-6 months to be processed. Sunrise of Life really needs your help to keep the children of Sol Centre fed, clothed, loved and in school.
