Volunteering
Volunteering Program,
This week the youth living at the Sol house started volunteering at a local college. It became apparent that for them to sit in that house all day was not good. So we are working together with a local college and they said that the boys would be able to volunteer there. Now in the mornings they are helping with Pre-Form one classes (children who need extra tutoring before they go to secondary school go to pre-form 1 classes). I went the other day to visit them and they were teaching like real teachers!! And they really enjoy it. In the afternoon they go to computer classes at the same college. The computer class is three months long.
In other news Joseph is working very hard on finding a good school in Mwansa (a region far from Arusha). He hopes to repeat form 4 in Mwansa this coming year. Japhet is working hard on getting everything lined up to go to school in Uganda. He will complete form 5 and 6 in Uganda.
