Greetings all,

It has been some time since we have updated you on the happenings at Children for Children’s Future. Since the last update we were able to continue providing the children with their monthly food. Thank-you to all for your donations. The children as far as we can tell are all attending school regularly and eating well.

A couple news Items:

Tom has booked his flights back to Tanzania for this coming September. He will be living at CCF once again and is very excited to get back. Renette Kreft has also dedicated herself to come to Tanzania and stay at CCF for one month this coming September; she is also very excited.

As stated in a previous post Hadji is in a two year Tourism program. He is excelling in this program; we have heard this both from Hadji and from the Director of the school. Several weeks ago we received an email from Hadji informing us that he had been chosen as a president for the college. We were very excited and proud to hear this and know that Hadji will succeed in life.

On a different note; a couple of weeks ago we received an unfortunate email from Didas, a resident at CCF who is in form 4 (equivalent to grade 10). Didas’ brother died of Malaria at the beginning of April. This is just a reminder to us of the poor health care that many experience in Tanzania. His brother was just recently married and they were expecting a child. Sadly situations like this are not rare in African countries.

We would like to encourage you to visit the non-profit Sunrise of Life's (SOL) website, which was set up to assist the children. You will find the link on the top of this page.

A special Thank-you

We would just like to say thank-you to all who have supported these children over the last months. We have been running literally month to month and every month enough donations came in so that we could transfer $400.00 USD to the children. We would also like to send a special thank-you to the instructors of the School of Justice Studies at Lethbridge College for their donation of $613.00. Currently we have enough funds to support the children till the end of May.
